Intership

So a couple weeks ago I got an email saying I qualified to apply for student teaching internships. After some crazy mix ups and running around on Brian's part I was able to turn in an application. One day after turning it in, I had an interview for an Internship. I went to the interview last Thursday (not yesterday). I have been waiting all week to find out if this was even a possibility. Today I heard back and............................


I GOT IT!!!!!

We are way excited about this opportunity for me. Plus the added bonus that I will get paid for student teaching and now have my first job!! Crazy how in only a few weeks life can totally change directions.

Last weekend.....just in time before the new one rolls in

Brian and I had a blast last weekend by trying to forget that school was about to get very crazy with finals. It began on Friday. We headed down to Weber for the day to go and celebrate with Brian's brother Mike his graduation with his masters. It is pretty amazing that he was able to complete it so quickly and with high standing. We are proud of him and were glad we were able to come down and celebrate. After his graduation and some yummy lunch at Ruby River. We headed off to Park City. We love shopping for deals and when they also had a spend $10 get $10 for students, we had to see what was there. I came back with lots of new things and Brian got himself nothing. (This is normal for our shopping trips, he just can't convince himself to buy something but he will do it in a second for me.) Since we were down that way we (Jan, Spencer, Scott, and us) stayed at Spencer's parents house for the night to have a night away from Logan. We had originally planned to spend the whole weekend away from Logan but Brian got a call from his co-worker who didn't want to work if Brian wanted to.....and we couldn't turn down the money since we don't know where we will be in the next few months. So on Saturday we all relaxed for the majority of the morning and then headed to Plain City area to do some miniature golf. Toad's is a pretty fun place to play if you haven't been before (and the price isn't too bad). After playing we went to visit Brian's parents for Easter. We then headed up to Logan to enjoy an hour together (sleeping) before Brian headed to work. (I had the biggest headache hit me that night which is why I joined Brian for a nap before he left.)

Then on Sunday we headed down to Perry and Brigham to visit Brian's mom, grandpa, and my parents. It was great seeing everyone. I got some daffodils for the house which has really brightened it up this week. We also got a delicious family meal that my mom and dad prepared. It was a great relaxing weekend, which was exactly what we needed before the dreaded finals come.

On another note: I have my last day in the elementary school tomorrow. I can't believe how fast the past six weeks have gone. Now on to the last few tests and assignments, then it is Hello Student Teaching.

P.S. Brian also graduates next weekend (May 7th) and we hope to get some announcements out soon.....there was a problem with the printer messing up.

Catching up...

Brian and I have been way busy in our life lately but I haven't had time to blog very much about it so I am going to try to catch up some with pictures and stories.

 So Brian was suppose to help with the NIT game for the USU women basketball team since they got an invite. Brian had class though so he couldn't make it instead he went to class then came and joined me. So we got to watch the game together. It was a good women game, the score was insane so I had to get a picture of it.

 Zach's birthday party was held at Goldren Corral in Ogden and we went down to celebrate with the family.

 It was fun hanging out with all the nieces and nephews and I couldn't help but get pictures of them.

 Some of them don't get to come hang out with us as much so we wanted to get as many pictures as we could with them.

 We sure have some cute nieces. They just make me smile.

 Brian's class has a huge project they have to do where they have to raise money for a charity. Brian's group decided to raise $1000 for USU SEED program. The USU SEED program sends students over to 3rd world countries to help out businesses and use the money given to them to give out loans to businesses and help build the economy in that country. Brian's group did three projects: a basketball bracket, a bake sale, and a yard sale. This is a picture of one of the guys as the booth selling the brackets. Brian has been very busy with this and handing out the prizes.

 Brian's yard sale and bake sale were this past Saturday. Here are all the guys helping sort out all the stuff they got donated. They had a ton of clothes. Some of the guys had fun trying on some of them. It was pretty funny.

 But after Saturday Brian can relax a little with this class because they were able to raise the money they needed to. Now they just have a paper and presentation to write.

Last night we went to Ladies night and the Priesthood session with Brian's family. I took no pictures since I was sitting on a bench for most of the night and trying to help take care of the two babies with us. But we had fun.

Now everyone is caught up to speed, along with my blog to be there for our memories later.
