Midway

On Friday this past week Brian and I got all packed up and headed away from Logan to go spend some time with family. Sadly, we weren't able to leave as early as planned or hit everything we had hoped to since Brian got called in to work the gymnastic meet. But we still left Logan for Brigham City on Friday night. We stayed the night at my parent's house, got up bright and early, headed to Sandy, got our taxes done (yeah, we are getting money back too!), then headed to Jan and Spencer's where we finalized most the Hawaii plans (can't wait for June), and finally headed up to Midway. We convinced Jan and Spencer to come with us and see how Kaden liked swimming. When we first got there we relaxed for a little bit and let Kaden warm up to being around my family. Then we enjoyed some cake and ice cream, held my new niece baby L, helped a little with a craft project, and final headed over to the pool. At first we got in the pool and the boys all thought it was cold including Kaden. So we got in the hot tub which seemed way to hot to me. Slowly we all gradually went back to the pool. Jan was able to get Kaden to warm up to swimming and then he loved the idea of it. We had fun splashing, swimming, and catching up while relaxing. It was a great afternoon spent in the water. Sadly, I decided not to risk my camera for pictures so there are none to show of this or any of the rest of the time in Midway since we just relaxed. We watched basketball, ate, chatted, watched Frozen, went swimming/soaking in the hot tub again, and then went to bed. It was a nice relaxing weekend. One of the reasons we decided to stay in Midway was because my niece was going to get blessed the next day. So the next morning we packed up, checked out, and headed to the blessing. It was a beautiful day and it was fun seeing most of my family. I got two pictures of the whole weekend which was a perfect relaxing weekend away from home.
My parents with their 5 grandchildren.....all beautiful girls

Although the weekend was nice and relaxing it was good to get home and get our place ready for the week. We had a few things to get put away and set up to help this week go more smoothly.
Now to bring on a better Tuesday then Monday. My cute little kindergarteners didn't do so well with coming back from the weekend and having St. Patrick's day today. They were a little crazy and I am in the mood for a more mellow week with good productivity. Fingers crossed for that!!!

Amazing Race Ulimate Date

After getting together with our family we thought it would be fun to do a really fun out of the norm group date. So when Brian's brother asked for an idea we couldn't wait to try out this one we had just found. It was the amazing race with tasks around any normal town. We had so much fun doing it. It was a group of 3 of us and we would change a few things about the way we did it but we hope to make those adjustments and do it again soon. So if you want to join us in a super fun competitive date let me know and we will put you on the guest list of the next Amazing Race Ultimate Date. If you want to do it on your own we got it from here. They have lots of fun ideas if you want to try other ones too. Just go here to there main site page.
Here are our pictures of the date and clues:
The clues with our allotment for the race.

First stop

2nd stop

3rd stop

4th Stop

5th stop

We adapted this clue thinking it was too hard and it wasn't. You can find 12 different states in Logan Utah and here are the pictures to prove it and we missed one too that we saw for Indiana.

6th stop/task

One of our favorite places due to the best memories last summer.

Here are the pictures from the other two who joined us on the date:

We all have 12 license plate pictures but I am just posting a few of them.
