Run, Run, Run it's the weekend

That is how every weekend feels to me lately. I never seem to get a moment to sit down and just relax. But I think that is okay because I will soon have huge breaks off of school with Thanksgiving and Christmas that I think I might get bored (now that I say that I will be busy then too...).
It was UEA weekend for me which means I got a four day weekend that started on an early out Wednesday. Brian and I headed straight to Brigham City after I got off work on Wednesday. We checked up on Brian's grandpa who hasn't been feeling the best. As of Sunday he is almost totally feeling better. We then headed out to Brian's sister's house to help her out. Once we finished we headed to my parent's house to sleep. The next day Brian headed off to Salt Lake while Liz and I got in the car to head to my Grandparent's house. My grandma had asked for some help in cleaning her basement. We thought this meant just some dusting and cleaning of the bathroom but it turned into rearranging the rooms since some of the furniture wasn't where my grandpa or grandma wanted it to be anymore. So after some pretty crazy moving and cleaning we finished up by straightening up the upstairs and gathering as many apples as would fit into my sister's car. That is because it was APPLE weekend for my family. We got all the apples to my parent's house, got the car unloaded, got a few things out of the chicken coop, and proceeded to make homemade apple juice. This was the first of several loads. Once we finished the amount we were going to do for the night, I headed out to Brian's sister's while my sister headed out for a date. We met back up at home a few hours later and both went to bed. We were tired from our long day. The next morning I got up super early to head down to Sandy. I am required to go to at least one of the UEA meetings so I went on the free day. It was a great learning experience just a way long day.

After the conference I got back to my parent's house and helped finish up applesauce. I then went to bed knowing the morning was coming early and it was time to finish up the apple juice. Which is exactly what we did. I didn't take a single picture because I was just wanting to get done. Once the apples were done Brian and I once again headed out to his sister's house. Except it was to find the exact thing I have been looking for for months, scrabble tiles. I am so excited for what I am going to make with them that my mind is spinning. After that Brian and I went to the heart breaker of a game for USU. Maybe our football team really is cursed......not sure about that though. After the game Brian and I headed out to visit with his sister and her family before all the family showed up for Dillon's birthday party. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing everyone. And since our family is all about TRADITION ;) we had to make a trip to the pumpkin walk.

After the pumpkin walk, Brian and I had Jan and Spencer over so we decided to crave our own jack-o-lanterns. Brian isn't into this too much but he actually helped make ours this year and it turned out way cute.

Our cute smiling pumpkin. We were all exhausted after we finished so we went to bed. Sunday was actually a lazy day for Brian and I compared to every other day this weekend so that was nice. We even got to have some yummy homemade tapioca from my parent's house and watch a movie. Now on with the busy week....luckily the first busiest day of Monday is almost over, half an hour more till it is time to go home.

A Doll

All of these nieces of mine are dolls! I can't help but post of the pictures Brian's mom had on her camera that we have to get her pictures of Hawaii printed. These are so cute and doesn't this baby just look like a doll while she is being held by her sisters. It is just so cute.

And I just have to post some of the absolutely breath taking pictures of Hawaii that she took. I just want to go even more now. I think this place looks beautiful.

Golfing...in two different ways

Wow I love weekends when I get to play. But oh boy was it a painfully fun weekend. It all started with me heading out to meet up with Brian in Salt Lake. I got out of the last seminar early and spent some time with my family then proceeded down to Salt Lake to meet up with Jan and Spencer and my handsome husband.
Jan and Spencer had some mission buddies in town that wanted to hang out so we all got together and went mini golfing. Yeah we love to do that....especially when you get holes in one!! Jan and I can brag about that while the boys can brag about beating us.

It was pretty dark on the course and we had a big group that began to hold up other groups so this is the only picture we have of us doing mini golf. The statue behind us blew out flames if you got it in a hole in one or shot water at you if you didn't.

Our package deal gave us tokens to play games too....we of course are big kids that like to have fun and enjoy playing the games.
The next day Brian had to work for part of the day so I hung out with Jan and Spencer by exercising and playing games and going to eat at Siegfrieds (? sp). But once Brian got home we jumped in the car and headed to a really pretty golf course to hit a bucket of balls. 100 balls to be exact. It was fun and frustrating since I haven't done it for years....since Brian and I were dating years.

We all had fun and the background behind us was gorgeous.

Brian had to work on Sunday again so I headed to my parents while he worked and we met up later to go visit his mom, sisters, and grandpa before heading to the birthday dinner of Jan and Scott's.

We had a lot of fun this weekend playing and spending time with family. I am way excited for this week too because it is halfway over for me already!! I only have three days of school this week and only two where we actual teach the children. Wednesday is our fun humanities day. They get to go to music, art, pe, library, eat lunch, have spanish, get recess, and do one thing then it is time to go home. So let the party for this weekend begin!!

One last picture. Brian's mom just got back from Hawaii where she brought us back some chocolates. I have been told they are delicious and can't wait to try them.

No School

So today I didn't have the normal school day and I couldn't believe the difference it made to my spirits. I had mandatory meetings I had to go to for my last year of schooling. They are meetings all about interviews and resumes and getting hired. I am really enjoying them BUT I am enjoying getting to know my fellow interns even more. Today we were able to all sit together and talk about what has been going on in our individual classrooms. It was so nice to sit down and understand that we are all having some of the same issues. We went out to lunch together and just talked and talked....so much that we were a little late in getting back, but what can you do. At least I wasn't the only one that had a few problems come up when a sub entered the room to find me in charge and to have a few misconceptions coming from our teachers. Luckily we are all learning and growing and will be so much better off. All I can say is having no school today was a huge blessing that not only I needed, but all of us interns definitely needed. :) Next week we get two more days off for UEA too!!! YEA!!!!

Christmas Gifts

I am so excited about this idea I found on a blog I follow. It is something that I love to do and I am way excited for the challenge of finding and making it for several people for Christmas. So yes if you know that I have you for Christmas you are probably going to get this for Christmas. I am so excited because I am going to make one for myself too and I found the first thing I needed today!!!!
I know this makes no sense but I can't share the actually pictures of it until after Christmas. I will just leave you a few clues....it is made with two things that I love!!

General Conference Weekend

This past weekend was the first weekend where I went down to Salt Lake so that I would be able to see Brian during the weekend. I finished school and met up with my sister to get a ride down to Perry. Brian met me at my parent's house and we headed down to Salt Lake. Due to SEP conferences going over we were running late so we stopped at Iggy's to eat and start watching the USU vs. BYU game. We were so intent on the game that I didn't take any pictures. But we had some good food and enjoyed watching the first half of the game. We then left and finished our trip to Jan and Spencer's place. We finished the heart breaking game on their TV while waiting for them to get home from a mission reunion. Our Aggie's aren't doing so good right now. But we will still be out in this cold weather watching every game. It is in our blood and one of our favorite things to do. After watching the game we didn't do much. Brian and Spencer ran out to get a movie and we ate some ice cream while we watched it.
The next day we watched the first session of conference together and then Brian left to go get ready for the U of U game. So we then watched the second session of conference. Spencer then left to meet up with his family while Jan and I headed out to go shopping. It was the first day we could use a coupon at Maurice's and we wanted to go check it out. We both got cute new tops and decided to wear them the next day. After that we ran to meet up with Spencer's family at The Training Table. We then had a crazy dinner because a lot of people decided to have the burgers from this place and called in their orders to carry out. So this ruined our plans of going to Tai Pan's ladies night but we still headed over to see what was there. I found a cute jar to make into a candy jar that I have been wanting.
The next day we all slept in until right before conference started. Spencer made us all crepes for breakfast. They were delicious!! We then sat around and enjoyed the morning session of conference. After the morning session we all got ready because we had tickets to go to the afternoon session. It was fun to go to conference with Jan and Spencer. I love going to that building it is just so pretty and spiritual. Although everyone asking for tickets outside made the whole thing feel crazy and more like a sporting event.

After we got out of the session Brian and I hurried home to go and meet up with his sister's in Sardine Canyon to go for a fall walk. I am so glad we were able to met up with them after having the weather we have been having lately. I know it is going to warm up again but our time isn't that flexible so I am glad I got at least a fall walk in before the snow fell.

I just love hanging out with our nieces and nephews. They are so cute and have so much curiosity. I am glad we were able to make it up on time to meet them. The walk was beautiful and sad at the same time. I feel like fall came and went without really being here because the colors weren't very bright but hey fall is always short, right?
After the fall walk we had to go pick up some stuff from my parent's house but we made a small detour to see our newest niece born only earlier that day at the Brigham City hospital.

Meet Dominiquie Tautieawnia. She is such a small baby weighing in at 5 pounds 5 ounces. Small thing and so beautiful. I love holding new little babies. They are so precious. Brian is going to be a great and proud dad when we do have kids too. Just look at him here with his little niece. He was telling me we need to have our babies come out at this size (football size is what he called it).

That wraps up our fun filled past weekend. It was kind of crazy but I am so glad we found the time to go see all of our family's and to have the time to relax and enjoy time together.
