Brian and I hardly ever go out for a holiday on the holiday or close to that holiday. We like to wait for the crowds to clear out and it to be an easier time. So this year for Valentine's day we went out for lunch to Olive Garden on Saturday a week ago. We got up Saturday morning went to get our taxes done, pick up a few things, buy some groceries, get some free books from Brian's work, and then went to lunch. It was perfect. We did the three for $12.95 deal they have going on. You get salad/soup and bread sticks, an entree, and then a dessert. It was so good. We even got to bring home the leftovers and enjoy them for dinner. After relaxing for the remainder of the evening, Brian and I started a movie we had picked up from Red Box. Just as we got the movie going Brian's aunt called. She had a play she was coming to up in Logan and was wondering what the weather was like. We had clear skies and it was fine. So she and her husband decided to try to make it to the play. They called us fifteen minutes before the play was to start to tell us Sardine was not good at all and they were not going to make it after all. Then they threw in a puncher.....would you guys like the tickets?? We had no idea what the play was called or if we would even like it but said why not. So we ran and got ready really fast and headed over to Ellen Eccles. We got there right after the play had begun. It was a Pickleville Playhouse play called Who Shot Juanito Bandito? I have never been to a Pickleville Playhouse play before so I was excited. Brian and I sat back to enjoy the show and ended up laughing through the whole play. It was so funny!!! Brian even said he thinks it was funnier then Brian Regan. During intermission we headed out to get a program and discovered this is a long series that has been going on for sometime. We were sad about that but it was funny to find out that I knew who was playing the piano and her husband was in the play as the sheriff. The reason why I didn't recognize that I knew her is because she was seven months pregnant. It was fun to watch the second half of the play after realizing that. After the play Brian and I felt bad his aunt and uncle had to miss that play. It was so good, but we were happy they had thought of us to enjoy the tickets. The weather had gotten really bad while we were in the play, so they should be happy they didn't come. Since we had a night out Brian and I decided to enjoy some ice cream after the play and got some yummy hot fudge sundaes. Overall, we had a great (Valentine's) Saturday!! It was exactly the kind of weekend Brian and I needed to get our spirits back up and to help us just unwind and relax. Only sad part I left the camera at home. :( I thought it was in my purse and ended up being in my other coat pocket from the night before. Boo!! So I just got pictures of the program and tickets.
P.S. Brian and I highly recommend any Juanito Bandito plays!! If they spin off (like it seemed they did) from what we saw, you will really enjoy them.

Trevor's game and Spencer's birthday
All basketball season Brian and I have been trying to find time in our crazy schedules to make it to T's basketball game. Every time we found a night that was open we would totally forget about the game until we couldn't make it. We were getting very frustrated with ourselves for doing this and were losing out on games we could still make. Then we got lucky. This past Friday T's game was at five fifteen and Brian was off at two!! This is the earliest he has ever gotten off on Friday. So I caught a ride with my sister down to Brigham and met up with Brian at T's game. The coach drove us nuts with how he has coached the team and who he has play. But we did get to watch T play for at least two or three minutes (the whole time he even played). The team lost by a lot. We left before the game totally ended since we had Spencer's party to get to. But it was great seeing the family at at least watching T play basketball.
We left straight from the game to go to Plain City. We met up with all of the rest of Brian's family. We enjoyed a night full of pizza, cake, and laughter. We played a new game of Spencer's where everybody acts out but one person and they guess what it is. I took a small video of when Kira was trying to guess Thriller. She kept saying Bear, Bear. Oh it was a fun night. Thanks for letting us all get together for such a fun night.

Valentine's Day
I am already over a week late in posting this but hey I want to post these adorable pictures still. Valentine's day is so much fun in an elementary classroom. The children are excited and can't wait to hand out their treat, you get to make crafts and just enjoy the day. I also carried home a box full of candy and cards. These kids spoiled me. I got lots of candy hearts full of special candy, then the big candy too. I got a big solid Hershey Kiss that I don't know what to do with since I have no idea how to even think about eating it and that is a lot of chocolate to eat by myself. My favorites included the bag of hugs that said Hugs for the teacher, the cookie flowers, and the tissue paper flowers.
Here are the pictures of the cookie flowers and the tissue paper flowers
All the children were so excited to hand out their Valentine's I was excited to receive each one I got. Then I got home from work and Brian had gone and gotten us our free Pizza from Papa John's (one of our two). It was the perfect meal to have on Valentine's day. Simple and easy so we could relax and spend time together before going to bed.
I did do a quick little thing for Brian on Valentine's Day to help him know how much I appreciate everything he does. It was just some things we already had on hand but I put a little note with each one.
I hope Brian understands why I love him so much. He really is amazing and helps me out in so many ways. There is no way I could have done everything this past semester and this last little bit without his support. I love you Brian!!

Hula Hoop
Yes, you read that right. The joyful childhood hula hoop that we use to play with.....well I bought myself one this past weekend. It is a workout one and I have already loved using it!! I had some money from some surveys I take and I have wanted a hula hoop for about a year now. Well Big 5 finally carries them (ordering online is expensive), so during our errand running we stopped by and I picked me up one. Anyone who loved it was a kid, you will still love it now. I promise!! Plus it is a great core workout!

11 things
(This is a funny post to do because 11 has become one of my favorite numbers since getting married on 7/11)
1. What is your favorite color and why?
Yellow is my favorite color. Always has been and always will be. I love how it is so bright and cheerful. Plus my favorite flower is a sunflower and I love it when it is nice and sunny outside. My second favorite color is a bright blue. It describes the perfect weather together doesn't it?
2. Your favorite date idea or the best date you have ever been on?
My favorite date idea is a picnic hike. I love being in nature and enjoying it. The best date Brian has taken me on would have to be any that gave me a "first". I loved experiencing so many new things with Brian while we were dating.
3. What would you do if you had 10 spare minutes?
10 whole spare minutes!!! This is unheard of in my life right now. I would hopefully be at home and would spend those 10 minutes cuddled up with Brian. I am always running and when I am not he is. So 10 spare minutes would be great cuddle time.
4. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I had a fun childhood. I spent most of my days at my grandparent's house in their backyard or the basement with my cousins. Or I was with my family on bike rides or walks or on a camp out. I have so many memories I can't pick a favorite.
5. What is your favorite movie?
Tricky question. I am a Disney movie junkie so I would have to say Beauty and the Beast.
6. Name 2-3 things on your bucket list.
1. Get me or Brian a job and figure out where we are living!!
2. Visit Disneyland/Disney World
3. Go to Europe
7. What is your favorite shape and why? I know this sounds weird but it says a lot about your personality.
A heart. I just love what a heart represents and how fun they are to draw.
8. What is your most embarrassing moment?
I will be truthful....I really can't remember a time I was truly embarrassed. The only time I can even think of being slightly embarrassed was in middle school and they guy I liked walked by right as I tripped up the stairs. He laughed but so did I. I mean seriously, who trips up a set of five stairs. It was the only time I ever tripped on the stairs at that school. I think it is just really funny now.
9. What is your favorite restaurant?
I don't really have a favorite restaurant. But right now my favorite place to go get food would be Costa Vida. There Sweet Pork Nachos are the best!!
10. What are your favorite gifts that you have given and received?
Any of the homemade gifts I have made have been my favorite to give. I love coming up with ideas for things that I think someone would really like and seeing it all slowly come together.
Received is tricky....I don't get a lot of gifts. Probably my graduation gift from Brian. It is going to be a nice frame to put my diploma(s) in. I like that he finds that my hard work is worth displaying in a nice frame just like his.
11. What is your favorite candy bar?
Twix all the way!! I love the crunch with the caramel.
Now to tag people! I got tagged by my sister-in-law who got tagged by our other sister-in-law and I don't know a ton of people who follow my blog since I don't get a ton of comments. So here are the few I can think that I have seen look here before.

SUPER Bowl
This year's Super Bowl was pretty SUPER!! At least the game was. I enjoyed only a few commercials but really enjoyed the food and cheering for the Giants with half of Brian's family while the other half cheered for the Patriots.
It began early as we all got to Dean and Lori's house early. Brian and I didn't want to miss the coin toss since America had chosen Heads for the free Papa John's pizza. We were hoping it would be that and get free pizza. In case you missed the coin toss, IT WAS HEADS!! So hopefully we can get our free pizza soon. We started out the night by filling up our plates with all the yummy food. I ate so much I don't know how I kept eating. Everything was soooo good!! I should have taken a picture of our food table but I never did.
Every year the Super Bowl and Dean's birthday get celebrated together. This year we thought long and hard about what to get Dean for his birthday and decided to give him and Lori a date night out with some Jazz tickets. We hope they enjoy the date!!
Overall the whole day was a lot of fun and really relaxing. They game went super fast and we were back home early. Thanks for letting us come Dean and Lori!
Now to just get over the cold that hit me later as I was getting ready for sleep. I think it is something one of my students gave me and I had too fun of a weekend to let it hit until it was over. Then it hit hard. I was out of it Monday and luckily feeling lots better by today. Hopefully it continues to improve quickly. It is hard to function as much as I need to with a cold.
P.S. Here are our favorite commercials from the game

Floor Seats
I was looking forward to this weekend all week because Brian had Saturday off work and got off early on Friday. This has never happened so we were really excited to have a LAZY Saturday. However, our plans changed when Brian rechecked his email and remembered why he was given Saturday off.....he was suppose to work a basketball game for U of U. I was bummed when I learned this. I thought we wouldn't be able to spend the day together. Then Brian asked his supervisor person (Brittany) if he could get any tickets so that I could come with him. Well, she not only gave him a ticket for me but gave him two more so that I could go with some people and not be alone. Jan and Spencer agreed to come with us. When we first got there we had no idea where we would be sitting. So Brian headed in to get the tickets while we waited. He came back to us about seven minutes after he left and gave us our
tickets.
We asked the ushers where to go and were directed to the bottom of the area where we were told another usher would help us. We walked all the way to the bottom then got escorted to the side of the floor and on soft comfy floor seats. We were pretty amazed.
Although the Utes played hard they got behind early and were unable to catch back up so they lost by close to 20 points. It was still fun to be right on the court and to have such great seats. Plus I got to see Brian as he did his job and have a lot of fun. He loves doing this stuff in the sports and we hope to hear back soon that he will be hired to do this stuff permanently.
After the game we went out to eat some dinner at Red Robin and then headed home to do laundry and get ready for Sunday. It was a great night!! Thanks for coming with me Jan and Spencer!! Thanks to Brittany also for the amazing seats that made it easier for Brian to see us!!
