Christmas

Brian and I enjoyed Christmas Day at home with just the two of us. We got to sleep in, relax, go to a movie together, and then watch a movie at home. Since we don't get to spend a lot of time together due to school and work it was a perfect gift to each other to just spend the day together. But the couple days before we got to spend time with family at several parties and open gifts from each other. I didn't pull out the camera at every party but I did for a little bit at a couple of them.

This is a picture of the whole family. It was a big group and it got super hot but we got a picture with everyone's face seen.

Full of smiles

and he loved the paper!

We love getting together with family and seeing everyone. We were blessed this Christmas and enjoyed the time with family celebrating the season and how blessed we are to be able to get together.

6 YEARS!!

I can't believe that it has now been six years since Brian and I went on our first date. We have been through a lot these past years and especially this past year alone. I am excited to see where the next year will lead us. Hopefully the future is as bright as we can see it being.

It has been the craziest, funniest, best six years I could have ever asked for. I know we never saw our life together going as it has so far but it is a good different that we have seen. I can't wait to see the next years as we continue to grow and move forward with our lives together.

Prepping for the Holiday

As we started on the three weeks before Christmas we had lots of Holiday Events and sporting events. So here is a recap:

Men's basketball, Brian is technically not suppose to work these and yet here he was on the court. Luckily he did get a few off.
We had lots of sporting events but I didn't do very many pictures. I got lucky and Brian only had to work a few and then he got a few in the stands with me. This particular game above was the night of Brian's graduation party. He worked, then we ran to the party, and then we came down to the Spectrum again to see the Fresno vs. Utah State game. We came so close to coming back to win too. We are so glad that Brian is done with one of his Masters too. We are only a few months away from being done and hopefully having a job. We can't wait!!
The set of the Forgotten Carols
We went to the Forgotten Carols on December 11th with Brian's family. We were lucky enough to have everything work out to be able to come.

Went and saw White Christmas on December 12th. Seeing the two plays back to back made for two late nights.
It is so much fun to have family around and to enjoy the time together especially around the holidays. One weekend we went to breakfast with Santa and then the movie Rise of the Guardians. It was fun to see all of the nieces and nephews and to have them sit by us during the movie.
Lovely Courtney

handsome Brian

Us, I love pictures of us.
The people that put on the movie did a prize drawing and Brian's nephew Cole won a bike. A few others won some games. It was a fun day and a great time to be together with family.

Beginning to Look Like Christmas

As the Christmas Season began Brian and I had a lot of fun. We went to Temple Square (kind of), City Creek, nephews basketball Tournaments, and the Festival of Trees. It was so much fun and we got to do most of it just the two of us. It was a great beginning of the holiday season.
At City Creek and the edge of Temple Square

The Beautiful trees in City Creek
We knew we wouldn't have a lot of time to see Brian's nephew play but we got to see at least 2 games at a tournament up here in Logan. It was funny we thought it would be hard to find his nephew until he got on the court in his bright yellow shoes and it was like never mind you can't miss him.

Then we also got a chance to see the Festival of Trees. One of my favorite places to go during the holiday season. Not very many people I know like it but luckily my husband will take me every year. I just love Christmas Trees and what the Festival of Trees is raising money for. It just starts the spirit of the season for me.
Charlie Brown Tree

Monster's University. This tree the librarian's eyes moved it was funny to watch and see everyone's reactions.

Such a simple sweet tree

I thought this tree was so cool since it was made of bats.

The Nemo tree was in a fish tank.

This was a beautiful picture and it was made with wood from all over the world. The list is in the picture below.

The camera tree. This was so cool.

The Grinch scene was pretty awesome too
This year though the gingerbread houses were not to be out done by the trees.
This gingerbread house took 11 months to complete. It was so detailed!!

I took some picture to try to show each side and the detail, but it was hard as it was rotating.

Minions were a big theme in the gingerbread houses.
