Toy and Bear Lake

So I am finally posting about my new toy and what has been going on with us lately. My new toy is called a quikpod. Basically it is a hand-held mono pod that retracts so you can take pictures of yourself or yourself and the others you are with without having to ask for someone to take the picture for you.

I have been playing with it since I got it and testing it out. I love it!!!
It has sure helped us capture some fun memories already. I feel like I already got my money's worth.
The first time we used it was when we went to Summer Fest in Logan. It was Jan's first time ever going and I got my quikpod just earlier that morning so of course it went with us to be tested out.

We had so much fun hanging out with my family at Bear Lake this weekend. It was a dual event. It was for my Dad's birthday and a last attempt at getting the family together before my sister and her family move to Arizona. The bonus to the trip was my sister Celest coming down from Jackson Hole and us all getting to meet her boyfriend. Let's just say I should have pulled out my camera earlier to get a picture of the cowboy she is dating. Luckily he treats her like a true lady and you can tell they both have feelings for each other. So we will see what happens with that. Now on to the next adventure of the Fourth of July!!!

New Toy

I got my new toy today and I am so excited to use it and to try it out. I will post pictures of it on Monday and explain more about it. But I am really excited to use it!!!

Sun and Family

I just loved yesterday. My parents came up to Logan to deliver something for me to use while I have Jan in and out of my apartment. Since they were coming up I ended up spending my time between work with them. I just love spending time with family. We went to eat and had a blast just laughing at the silly things my niece did. She is so smart and so creative in her thinking. Then my dad came to my house to drop off what they brought up and he fixed my toilet. Yea!! I don't even know exactly how to describe what they problem was but my chain was loose and it made it so my toilet kept running. But now the problem has been fixed...at least for now. While we were working on the toilet my niece called me and asked if I could come to the park with her and my other niece. I decided to go with them and had a blast out in the sun playing with them. Don't you just love to play at the park with little kids? Anyway overall it was a great day and it was great to be included in Grandma and Grandpa's play date with my nieces.

11 Months done and a cheap date to celebrate

Brian and I only have one more month left until we celebrate our one year mark. It is crazy since it doesn't seem like that much time has past or on the other hand it feels like we have been together so much longer than just one year as husband and wife. I don't feel like either is bad but it sure has been a fun ride with Brian so far. Anyway we didn't celebrate the night of the 11th since Brian worked like crazy last week and we both crashed hard on the couch while we were cuddling. So the next night we went bowling with Brian's sister Jan and his brother Scott down at Fat Cats in Ogden. It turned into a super cheap date thanks to my sister and her starving student card. Two games of bowling for $9.60 per two people. We had a buy one get one free so we paid in twos. It was so much fun.

Jan Bowling...Brian and her were trying to beat each other all night. Final score between the two games was Brian 162.5 and Jan 160.5, Jan wants a rematch since the only thing she wanted all night was to beat Brian.

We have been having a lot of fun getting to know Jan again since she came back from her mission. And we now will get to have even more adventures with her since she will be staying with us a few nights a week so she can work at the Sports Academy. We are really excited to have her come up and stay with us. For me I get an extra plus because with her coming up I now won't be home alone on Monday nights. Yea!!!

So I really didn't ever get the pictrues on here for the past few posts. I finally remembered to bring my camera cord so that I could post them though. I will be doing another post tomorrow of this past weekend with pictures. Two days in a row of 7 and a half hour shift of work when I am not too busy can be kinda of boring at times so I am spacing things out to make the time go by faster. Enjoy the pictures.

Bear Lake on a 3 day weekend

So this past weekend was pretty crazy but was so much fun. Brian and I really played hard. We began the weekend on Friday...since that is the day the weekend starts, right? So we headed down to a family party to find out what the gender is for Brian's brother's baby that they are in the process of possibly adopting. It is a girl. Although this comes with joy and a little apprehension we are very excited to be thinking of getting another niece. We then spent the night in Farmington in Brian's brother's new house. It is such a cute house you guys!! Thanks for letting us stay again. We had so much fun talking into the night and having our "sleep-over". We then got up early the next morning and headed to South Jordan for our friends' wedding. It was such a special experience going to their sealing and seeing how happy they are to be together. It was especially special to me since it is only the second sealing I have been to...since mine was the first. It brought back a lot of good memories. We then got to go and help set up the best luncheon I have been to. It was so causal and laid back which just allowed everyone to be able to smile and laugh and relax. Which is the thing I think you need most on your wedding day. We had to leave early so we weren't able to get to their reception since I had a family party going on at the same time that we tried to hurry back to. It was the Johnson's Annual Hot Dog Roast. My favorite get together of the whole year and we got there just as everyone decided to bail in fear of being rained on. :( Luckily I still got to hang out with my brothers and sisters which was still just as fun. Especially since I got to get out of my sister that one of the guys up at the Ranch in Jackson Hole with her isn't just a friend anymore and she is no longer a VL. That made the rest of the weekend fun in seeing how she told people a little here and a little there. By the time she left on Sunday when we were all up at Bear Lake chilling in the condo we had seen a picture of the guy and it got out to my mom. It was so funny how those that didn't know slowly came into the light after seeing his picture. Now I just need an update on what happens this week. Bear Lake is so much fun especially with family and no crowds! So we didn't get in the water because that would have been insane but we did go swimming in the condos swimming pool and had fun just taking a nice relaxing weekend. We got to spend time with both families and to just relax and enjoy the sun, the little we had, and each other. I took lots of pictures with the idea of posting them but I keep forgetting to bring my cable to work with me so I can upload them. I will try to do better after this next weekend since we have more going on this time. We will not be in Logan for most of the week so if you need to get in touch with us at our home you have today, tomorrow, and Thursday morning. Other than that our plans are in the air on where we will be exactly but it will be with family and friends somewhere in Utah.
