Survival
I can't believe I survived last week. Don't worry though that was just the first week of craziness and I was only the teacher for two days. Next week I am in charge all four days....which is why this post is only a few lines. I need to get my lesson plan typed up the rest of the way. Wish me luck!!

Is the week over YET???
I have a feeling this question is going to be my theme for this semester. I have only just begun the actual teaching in the preschool and I feel like I haven't even had time to sit down between the preschool, my own school, work, homework, and setting up for each teaching day. Can I just say I have never felt so physically and emotionally tired in my life!!! I hope this is my last crazy semester like this. I really could use some time to breath and actually have fun without thinking I should be doing some homework.
On the other side of things Brian is enjoying almost all of his classes. One is just kicking him in the butt a little right now. His new job has finally been figured out and we are now on the schedule of 3 days on and 3 days off. This is at least a bright side to all the stress I am experiencing, at least I have my husband available to help me.

Bowling, Football, Idaho, and Preschool,...OH MY!!
Wow was this past weekend fun and crazy and intense and....I think I could just keep on describing it. Let's just say it was definitely busy. Brian had to work both Friday and Saturday so our time together was limited. But we made sure we spent some time together.
Friday we were going to have a birthday party for me with Brian's family but some other things came up and we got postponed to this coming weekend. Which just means the party gets to last longer in celebrating my birthday!! So instead Brian and I got some homework done and I went bowling.
Saturday we went to the Football game after getting some much needed sleep from the long week and Brian working. It was a sad game with us losing but at least we went all together and had fun.
Then on Sunday my cousin Derek just got home from his mission. So my family picked me up to take me to his homecoming talk. Brian wasn't off work early enough to come with us and was exhausted and slept better at home any way. But he missed their beautiful new home.
This week is also my first teaching week in the preschool. It is considered my practice week but I teach my first whole week in just two weeks so this is just making me more nervous and more anxious to get my lesson plan done quickly for this next one and the one in a month.
Although my weeks and days are all blurring together because of how much is going on I am trying to keep this blog updated. It is a pretty good journal and it is much easier to say more since a picture says a thousand words, right??

Birthday Seminar
Yesterday Brian took me out for my birthday. He had an information seminar on grad school in SLC so I got off work to go with him. So we went out to eat at Red Robin. We both got some delicious burgers that were way to big for our mouths. We then headed to the Red Rock Brewery. We didn't think the school would buy dinner for everyone but they ended up doing just that. Luckily it took us an hour to get our table so we were able to eat a few slices of the pizzas we ordered to share. But it was a fun and very informative night.
I joked with Brian that it was our night of Reds. haha!!

Peach Days and Birthdays
I LOVE Peach Days!!! It is one of the things I look forward to coming every year in September. It isn't like the most exciting thing I think it just has a lot of sentimental value from when I was little. Anyway, Brian and I made sure we planned in our time for Peach Days. We headed down Friday night for the Junior parade to watch all the school children walk main street. Our nieces and nephews were suppose to be in it but nobody ended up going, so we all sat and cheered together. After the parade Brian and I went and got our scuba burgers. They were really good!! We then played with the nieces and nephews a little while waiting for Jan, Spencer, and their friends to join us. We gave up after twenty minutes and instead hit the booths right by the court house. Our favorite booth was the Forked Up. They had some of the coolest people made out of forks and spoons. While walking along the booths here we ran into Barbarba and Marcie with Diesel and Levi. It was a lot of fun catching up and talking to them. We then headed to center stage to try to see if Brian's cousin's band was playing and instead we got an ear full of a girl band names the Pink Stilettos. They definitely weren't what we were wanting to hear. But we waited for Jan to meet up with us at this point. They caught up with us and then headed over to the Main Street Church to get some free popcorn. Once everyone got their free popcorn we headed to the booths below the rides on Forest Street. Here we found some delicious Kettle Corn.
After the Kettle Corn we walked through the booths and got a few things. Brian and I thought about buying some pet frogs. They were so small and so cute but.....we decided not to. We then got a call from Tammy Brian's sister telling us Peach cobbler would be done soon and we were all invited to come eat some. So we headed toward her house.

| So I am having issues with this post and have given up trying to fix it. This is my niece and I blowing out our candles at our birthday party on Saturday. The picture underneath is the cobbler we ate all up. It was really good. Brian and I went to the parade on Saturday. This time our niece and two nephews were in it. My niece loved watching the parade. My dad was in it with his Standard Plumbing truck float. We then have the cakes and my nieces with my mom. Brian also made a great chef on Saturday. The last picture is the Aggie football team coming out to the field on their first home game. |

Swing N Spring Success
Disclaimer: quite a long post with a lot of pictures
So last year I really wanted to hike up to Swing N Spring in Perry Canyon and totally got confused and decided to not chance getting lost so we gave up. This year I was able to get my family to come with me and help me feel more confident in my choice of paths.![]() |
| Lizzy went first to show Brian and Scott how it worked |
![]() |
| Her out and flying. Man I love this swing!! |
![]() |
| Brian went second. He was pretty excited after seeing Liz go. |
![]() |
| First face back after flying out. He was totally enjoying it. |
![]() |
| Successful landing! Too bad we ended up going so late. |
![]() |
| Flying high |
![]() |
| I was attempting to get my foot out and ended up stuck. |
![]() |
| Liz had to grab me to let me hang out more so I could get my foot loose. |
![]() |
| A pole was sticking out from the 8 year old platform that is slowing falling down the mountain. Scott is making sure he doesn't hit it here. |
![]() |
| Attempting to get his foot loose without falling off the rope. |
![]() |
| Success but just barely. The landing with the swing is a little tricky but it is still worth the fun of figuring out. |
![]() |
| Brian's second and last turn. |
![]() |
| He jumped out further and tried a few new things. |
![]() |
| Coming in on the last swing. |
![]() |
| Pulling out his foot. |
![]() |
| and then he fell and slid down the mountain. He let go of the rope and yelled Tada! It was really funny. |
![]() |
| We thought about attempting to go on the swing together but the pole discouraged us from getting our feet in the rope loops instead we just hung on and swung out. |
![]() |
| Scott and I hurrying down. |
![]() |
| Scott looked like he had been wandering around up there for days after the hike. We had to get a picture of it. Can you see all the stuff stuck to his shirt? |
![]() |
| He also fell another time while holding a branch and got a couple nasty cuts. This was after the swing and on our adventure that found Scott's tunnel. |
![]() |
| We made it in one piece. Just barely. |
We did all of this after a long day with family at our other Labor day parties. Brian and I began Monday morning at 4:45. We hurried and got ready and headed to Wellsville. We then helped get our niece and nephew ready for the day. After getting them ready we went to the Wellsville Founder's day fireman's breakfast. It was a pretty chilly morning so we took the kids and headed on a drive of Wellsville. We found some gorgeous houses for sale for way too much but hey we can dream. We then went back to the park and played a little more until the parade started. We then watched the parade and hurried to pack up. Once we packed up we headed to Ogden to the Labor day Picnic. I wish I had some pictures of the absolutely positively perfectly fun football game we got going but I don't. After the picnic we headed to Perry and then did the hike. A perfect busy day for the last no school day with little homework that we will have.
Now on to this weekend.....PEACH DAYS!!!
