soon. BUT bot right now. Today I need to get my house cleaned, spend time with Brian, and get ready to go to a family birthday party. I want to blog about a lot of different things BUT school, student teaching responsibilities, and housework needs to come first. So keep watching for a huge update on the last two weeks coming later today or tomorrow.

Last week of Summer
How sad!! :( Summer is ending after this next week for Brian and I. It actually ends Thursday for me and Friday for Brian, then school starts for both of us on Monday. Crazy how fast the lazy (I wish) days of summer slipped through our fingers. Now we have some making up to do to try to get in a last few things we want to do.
What might that consist of:
But what am I saying....in our house football has begun with the pre-season of the NFL. Brian is loving it. Football is by far his favorite sport and it goes by too fast for him.
What might that consist of:
- Another visit to Seven Peaks
- A hike to any place - wind caves, crimson trail, swing n springs, some where
- Another baseball game
- Ice cream night out
- Mini golf
- and maybe one more BBQ
But what am I saying....in our house football has begun with the pre-season of the NFL. Brian is loving it. Football is by far his favorite sport and it goes by too fast for him.

Babysitting or.....
getting a night to be a kid ourselves?? Not sure but Brian and I got to watch some of our nieces and nephews last night and enjoy the relaxing night as a kid again. Which was especially nice for me after a 12 hour day.
They kids and Brian were building things out of Jenga blocks when I got home. Brian and I quickly set up and plan and got the kids right out the door.
First up was the Fun Park. We originally were going to go skating and play some games but it was country swing dancing night so the park closed at nine. We opted just to play arcade games and get prizes. The kids had fun doing just that too.
I laughed several times at them and had to join in the game playing too. I think my favorite part was watching Brian and Cole play air hockey. Cole was concentrating so hard he kept sticking his tongue out.
After the games were all played and we got our prizes for the tickets won we headed out to get a treat.
Aggie Ice Cream. Yummy!! It was a great way to end the night. We then headed back home and put in a movie until the parents came to get them. Besides having a lot of fun Brian and I spent only two dollars and fifty cents. We had the tokens from a date months ago and had vouchers for free ice cream for over a year that we finally used. Fun, quick night that was well needed after such a long day for me and a long work week for Brian.

Soccer, Soccer, and Park City
Wow what a great weekend to get away and enjoy the last few days of summer break before school starts. Yes I am overwhelmed with my internship that is now starting a whole week earlier than I thought (Aug 15) and I have to get my work schedule all figured out, it was still exactly what Brian and I needed. A fun weekend with all of our family.
I got home from my morning shift Thursday and we found out the nephews games for that day were at four. So we cleaned up the cars, packed, and headed out. We made it a little late and had to choose one game to go to so we picked Dillon's since we knew how to get to his field and texted back and forth with Tammy about how the other game was going. They both won their first games which we were so excited about. After the game we headed to the hotel we were staying at for the night and got a little settled. We then went and got some ice cream and played at the park. It was nice and relaxing. We had planned on swimming but there were a lot of storms (both games had stopped for a while due to lightening) and the pool was outside. So we just lounged in our rooms and had some great laughs with the kids.
Friday we got up and got ready for another day of soccer. But we decided to start the day with some shopping. I mean who can go to Park City and not shop some. We all found some cute things and then got some lunch and headed to our first soccer game of the day. Trevor and his team did great and won again. After his game we headed straight to Dillon's game, which he won too. We were so excited for them since Dillon had made it into the semifinals and Trevor was only a game away from the semifinals. We were sure we would have a day full of several soccer games on Saturday.
So we decided the Alpine Slide had to be done Friday or not at all. We ended up going and having a blast. It was a lot of fun seeing the kids go by themselves for the first time. Some of them got really scared but they did great once they got going.
We were originally going to go and stay with Jan and Spencer up at Spencer's grandparents cabin but due to some weird events when we got there we headed back to the hotel and ended up sleeping on the floor. So the eight o'clock game that we were already knowing was going to be early for us, was even earlier due to not getting the best sleep the night before. Trevor and his team didn't play very well this game and ended up losing. We thought they still had the chance to go on to the semifinals since they had so many points and won their first two games. But they got knocked out due to being one point behind. (They got a red card which had them lose the one point.) We were all really bummed, we thought we would have several soccer games to go to for him but he ended up having only one instead of three. So after his game we headed to the Outlets once more to finish up our shopping. Then we headed to Dillion's game. We were really wanting him to win so we had another game to go to and so he could win his first tournament. He beat the team and had his next game only a few hours after the game finished. So we all headed out to lunch quickly and then back to the field for his final game. He won the whole tournament for his bracket. We were so excited for his team. They had a clean sweep which is a complete 360 compared to last years tournament.
Overall we got a lot of sun and had a lot of laughs while we enjoyed the weekend cheering on these boys and their teams. Too much too soon
So yesterday I went and turned in my graduation packet. It is crazy looking at how soon a lot of things are coming up for Brian and I and we have no way to slow it down, makes me nervous too.
I have 13 days until my internship begins (found that out yesterday after a quick stop at the school, I thought I had 18 days still) and Brian has 14 days until his first meeting. That is two weeks for us to enjoy the last little bit of summer, get packed up some, and figure out exactly what we want to do with our situation. That also means I have to wrap up the class I am teaching a day sooner than I thought, tell my boss I will need my new schedule for school sooner than later, and find someone to cover some of my shifts (possible meaning lost money that I had planned on).
Here is where the faith really comes into play. I hope everything works out and I can actually do what I need to this next and LAST semester of mine. I also hope Brian can too. Life sure can get overwhelming when you have to look at a bigger picture sometimes and some of the pieces are missing because we have no control over them.
BUT I know everything will work out......how I am not sure but it will. I know what we are doing is right and is what we need for both of us to get the experience we need. Hopefully we still get to see each other during this time. We will just have to make the most of the next two weeks for sure.

Weekend of Randomness
This weekend Brian and I checked a few things off our list of things to do....this one however was on the list for three years at least before it got checked off.
Anyway, our weekend began on Friday. I got work off and we spent the day with friends just having a good time. First we went to our friends house and had a BBQ. It was so much fun to catch up with them and hang out. We had a blast and enjoyed just relaxing. After the BBQ Brian and I went home and both took a nap. Aww....I love when we have time to do that. After our nap, we called up Scott, Brian's brother to see if he wanted to come and play. He wanted to go see the movie Captain America. So after looking at the different theaters we picked the time that was going to work best, then went out to Costa Vida. Brian and I love their sweet pork nachos. Captain America was a pretty good movie but if you are going to see a movie in 3D (we weren't originally planning on seeing it this way) make sure you are seeing it on a digital screen and not the 3D film. It really does have a poorer quality to it.
The next morning Brian and I were up bright and early, then headed straight down to my parent's house to haul hay. This is our third time hauling hay this year and these bales were heavy!!!! But we got it down pretty quick and the barn is totally full. I can't believe we helped haul almost every bale in the barn as we started all the way at the back and now have almost no room for any more.
After hauling hay my family headed to Smith and Edwards to look for something for my brother. Since we were so close to the pick-a-part yard Brian and I headed there. Our new purple car has no emblem in the front, so we decided to go look for one. We found only one there and....it is a little bit too big for our car. We might try to jimmy-rig it though so we will see.
Since we were down at my parent's house and it was National Cheesecake day, Brian decided to finally take me to the Cheesecake Factory. It is something he promised me three years ago....and it now has been fulfilled. It was really good too! We were so full that we didn't want anything else to eat the whole night.
My parents took us to the movie 17 Miracles though when we got back and we snacked on some popcorn then. This movie is a really good movie. I love learning more about the Pioneers and what things they went through and were blessed with. This movie is great and Brian and I both highly recommend you go see it if you get a chance. It is all about the Willie-Martin handcart company.
AND that was our weekend. A lot of random fun things were done but we had a blast doing them. Now on to this weekend and Park City. Can't wait to cheer on the soccer players and enjoy another quick get away.
