At the beginning of November, Brian's family got some well needed family pictures. They turned out super cute and I can't wait to use them in Christmas gifts this year.
It was such a fun day getting together. Our family sure is big and crazy but we really enjoyed spending the day getting pictures that we can use to help remember this fun time in our lives.

Brian's Birthday and Christmas gift
Brian has been asking for 4 years to get the same thing. Every year we have sat down and not felt like we should spend the money on it though. One reason was because we didn't want to think about moving with it but now we have realized just how crazy life can be and it won't ever be going the way we think it will be. So we looked at our savings, crunched some numbers, and Brian sat in a line for four hours. But he is pleased and I found exactly what I hoped I would to put it on. A win-win for us, now we just need to invite people over and have a party to show it off.
We are pretty excited about it and even though it takes a lot of room, it is actually further away then our old TV. It was definitely worth the wait.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday
We had such a fantastic Thanksgiving this year. We spent most of the day with my family in Perry. We had divided the dinner up between everyone and sat down to eat our lovely feast at twelve. Then I was able to work on a few things and then we left to go to Brian's sister's house to see his mom. We had a great visit there since everyone was in such good moods. The kids were chatter boxes and were telling me everything. I love it when they are that way. It was great seeing everyone from that side since it has been a while since we all got together. We then went and saw Brian's grandpa. He had made himself a lovely dinner of pork and the rest of the normal fixings. After we saw his grandpa we stopped by at his other sister's house to figure out the game plan for shopping. It was a good thing we did too because we collected two new recruits for black Friday shopping, Trevor and Bryce. This was their first year. Once we had them in our car we headed out to Logan. Brian had to get in line for what he wanted that went on sale at ten. While waiting we strolled to see what else was on and ended up standing in line for the eight o'clock event to snag some of the deals. I couldn't believe the rush of people who have never been Black Friday shopping before that decided to try this year since it started Thursday night. It was crazy!!
We got our deals at eight and had the funniest thing happen. Since we had come up earlier we went to our "normal" walmart. Brian's sisters came up later to join us...but we all split up to get the things they wanted and Bryce spent 40 minutes trying to find his mom in the store. After we got our items we went to meet up at the register and while Tammy was saying there was a line at register 19 we were the front of the line. That is when it dawned on me that we had two walmarts up in Logan. I asked her is she was at the South Walmart and got told yes, aren't you? To which I had to say no. I started laughing so hard and headed back to where Brian was in line. It was really funny thinking back on our conversations especially Bryce's. Tammy was a good sport about the jokes that we had the rest of the night.
We met up to exchange the gifts so she could pay for them, lent them Bryce while Trevor and I went to get in line for the items Brian and I were getting at ten. This is when Walmart really got crazy (once again with non-normal Black Friday shoppers). I was in line for an external hard drive with four other people until seriously like twenty minutes to ten then I was crammed up against the box with about twenty to thirty people behind me and only 24 external hard drives and some people who had been there earlier wanted two!! Let's just say I grabbed my two (one for me and one for somebody else) and couldn't move away from the box for the life of me. I was seriously piled on top of. But I guess I got less hurt that way since people who couldn't get to the box were scratching and grabbing from people's hands as they came out away with one.A couple guys were on the floor rolling around fighting each other and ended up pulling the whole thing apart so it wasn't even in packaging anymore.
After our crazy time at walmart, things mellowed out for us. We went to Sports Authority and froze while waiting in line for our free money. We got lucky this year and got a $25 and a $10. This paid for a gift for another person on our list. It was great! When then went and browsed the stores that were open before heading back to our apartment for FOOD! See going to the store at six o'clock makes it hard to get dinner and so we hadn't eaten since twelve when we had lunch and it was now two o'clock in the morning. Once we all sat down our weariness caught up to us, so we decided to power nap it for an hour and a half. It was the perfect amount of sleep too because we got up (I finished waking up with some nice hot chocolate) and hit Smith's Marketplace, JC Penny, and the mall. I finally decided to call it quits at eight thirty. Brian had stopped after we went home at two since he had to work the next day. So when I got home I check to make sure he had an alarm set and went to sleep. I got interrupted a couple times, went back to sleep, and got up at noon. I got ready and headed out to a couple stores to get a few last things that weren't things that needed to be grabbed at earlier times or to stand in line that long for when my mom called. My grandma who had been recovering from emergency surgery to remove some of her some intestine was taking a turn for the worse. So I called Brian and made a game plan to go down and see her. Then hurried to finish up looking for what we needed for our new front room. I met up with my sister during this time and got to call and talk to my grandma some on the phone. I then went home, met up with Brian, we called a few people to make some arrangements, and headed down to Ogden.
It was great to say goodbye to her. She finally passed away on Tuesday. But we knew it was coming since Friday night and thought that she wouldn't make it past Saturday. We now have to wonder if she will really get to work on getting Brian and I a kid or two like she said she would when we last saw her. We aren't trying for it so we will see huh?
Overall Thanksgiving and our Annual Black Friday was a success and we had a lot of fun with family and friends throughout the whole two days.
I then spent Saturday and Sunday setting up my house, getting Christmas out, and supporting Brian and our last home football game and a basketball game against Weber. I will write more about those two events later.

The BIG 27
Brian had a birthday shoot hurray!! He turned the big 27. He is starting to feel old too (haha)
I sure love this guy and all that he does. Like this year we spent his birthday at a farewell for my family and then went to visit my grandma who was still in the hospital. He was a trooper about it all though especially since he already knew what his gift would be (more on that later).
I wanted to write a surprise post on his birthday but we got surprised with the whole farewell thing and had some quick trips to the hospital the week before with my grandma going back and getting emergency surgery again. It was just too hard so I am doing my gushy post now.
Here are 27 things about Brian that I love/adore:
1. He is always home and waiting for me when I get off work with a hug and kiss.
2. He also always has dinner ready for when I get home.
3. He is always encouraging me.
4. He is super handsome!!
5. He will always support me in anything I have a desire to try to do.
6. He is such a hard worker. Sometimes I can't believe everything he does for me and for our future.
7. He is super smart.
8. He love sports. I love seeing him passionate about what he does.
9. He always kisses me hello and goodbye.
10. He cares about his family. he is always calling and checking in, or letting them call to vent to him.
11. He really does listen (most of the time ;) )
12. He always does his best.
13. He takes me out on dates that I want to do, not always what he wants to do.
14. He puts up with my tears and frustrations.
15. He makes me laugh.
16. He loves to cuddle with me.
17. He will always sacrifice what he needs or wants to get me something I need or want.
18. He loves kids and plays like one any chance he gets.
19. He likes the same shows I do. We really watch almost all of the same shows
20. We can always talk about anything.
21. He loves to just be with me.
22. He is always trying to learn so that he can be even better.
23. He always puts others first. I love this about him. It is anyone he is around his interns, his family, people he doesn't even know that well. He will make sure they are taken care of before he looks for himself.
24. He has a great smile.
25. He is a lot like his Grandpa Romer and very proud of it.
26. He is sensitive to everyone around him.
and 27. He loves me!! I love him even more but I love that he is always showing how much he cares about me. It only makes me love him more every day.
Brian I hope you had a great birthday, especially once we got your gift. I love you so much babe!!

Vetern's Day
Vetern's Day fell on a Sunday this year which worked out for Brian and I to go visit his Grandpa Romer. We love visiting with this guy and even though we aren't doing it quite as weekly as we use to we have tried our best to make it as often as we can. So far I think he has seen us every week this month.
Vetern's day was especially fun because we got to hear how he got into the military, some great way stories, and some new ones even came out. Tammy and her family visited at the same time as us and it was fun getting the boys into Grandpa's stories by having him tell some of the funny ones.
I took some pictures of some of his war things and here they are:
It has been a year full of blessings being able to visit Brian's grandpa like we have been able to. I can't believe how much we have learned and how much we have grown from this experience. Plus it is always fun to see how much of Brian he got from his Grandpa.

November Overview
So I am doing an overview of the month of November in general and then will blog about certain aspects in more detail later.
November was a very pretty month and was super busy for us. Here is a photo dump of what happened and got on my phone or camera.
Our month has been super busy....mostly with sports for Brian, school for both of us, and then just trying to enjoy any moment we have left.

Slacker
That is what I have been on this blog is a slacker. Not because I haven't been wanting to blog but because I can not get the hang of my schedule. It is that craziest it has ever been. I am hoping that since I have been teaching now for over sixty days that I will find a day that will become my blogging day. Maybe I can back blog and have some scheduled to get posted later too so when I get a chance to sit down I have more coming besides just several all at once.
Can I just say though, WHERE DID NOVEMBER GO?? I am super happy that it went by fast because I really needed Thanksgiving break but seriously November is already over. I haven't posted about so many things due to that. Anyway, keep an eye on our blog I am hoping to schedule some out so that posts appear catching us up on everything that has been going on in our lives.
