After we finished up with San Fran we headed to our next destination, a place called Clear Lake in Nice, CA.
It was really pretty there and was in the mountains. A new part of California that I had never seen. It was a crazy drive up on a narrow winding road. But it was worth it once we got there.
We stayed in a penthouse suit. That had jetted tubs in both bedrooms. Aw....so relaxing.
I took pictures of this room but all the rooms we stayed in but one had these features. Two bedrooms, two (or three in the case of this one) bathrooms, a living room area, and a kitchen with a balcony.
Clear Lake reminded me a lot of Bear Lake but Bear Lake I think is a lot more blue looking closer up while this one looked green.
It sure was pretty. We drove home from here. Straight through...it was a long drive. We spent some time at the hotel place relaxing since we knew we'd be in a car all day. So we began the trip home around eleven and finally made it home by two AM.
We drove over the Sierra's and encountered snow, then drove through Nevada where we also hit a little snow, then hit Salt Lake up to Logan. We made it pretty well and just took turns driving long stretches. I was the one that got us from Salt Lake all the way home and the one that drove through the pretty Sierra's. We had a great trip but were glad to be home and back in our own beds.
