Snow...oh the fun you can have

Finally I am getting our President's day post up. The past little bit has been a bit overwhelming with school projects. (Lesson plans take a long time to write and require quite a bit of creativity.)
Anyway, Brian and I actually went and enjoyed the snow that we have here in Logan.
Believe me we have a lot too. But some finally decided to melt this week. So on President's day we headed up Logan canyon to Tony's grove to go snow shoeing. It was my first time and was so much fun. There was 96 inches up there. It was crazy but so pretty. Also the best work out I have had.
We took a lot of pictures to make sure we could remember this first of mine.

We got invited by our friend Sam and a group of friends he was taking. We only really knew Sam but it was fun to get to know the others that went with us.
These are our footprints on the path. We actually had a path made so it was a lot easier according to Sam and Brian. It felt like it was still pretty hard but I will take their word for it.

This is the group of us waiting for Brian to get some fun out before we headed back as it was getting late. See the footprints leading away from us standing here. That is the mountain Brian climbed.
He took the camera up there with him so I didn't get a picture of him up there or of him trying to ski down the hill. But he made it almost up the the top.

While we were waiting for him the rest of the group decided to try to build a snowman. It was a pretty intense process but they finally got a little one made. They found the arms and then created the face from some food they had in the backpack one of them brought.
On our way back we took some pretty nature picture to show how much snow was up there and how pretty it was. It was fun but really cold on the way back since it was getting late and dark as we headed out.

Me with Sam. We were so glad that he invited us with him. We haven't had a chance to hang out with him in a long time so it was really fun to see him and enjoy a snow activity.
This is the group of us. It was really fun and Brian and I are so glad we went. It was perfect for my first time going snow shoeing.

Here is a little video Brian decided to take. It was such a fun day and night.
